This is to update you about literacy activities at the upcoming RI Convention.
Rotarians/Rotary Clubs and Districts have the opportunty to donate books at
the Rotary International Convention in Los Angeles without attending and help
achieve a world record. MORE

Vocational Service within Rotary focuses on the adherence
and encouragement of the highest moral principles in all professions,
including fair treatment of employers, employees, colleagues,
competitors and the community.
By recognising the value of all skilful occupations, both
your own and that engaged in by Rotarians.
The provision of vocational talents to the problems and wants of the community. Recognising, development and nurturing of the club Rotarians vocational
talents in a positive and challenging manner is essential to achieving
a positive experience for all concerned.
Additionally a successfully undertaken project, whether it be as
an individual, club(s) or with non-Rotary organisations, will result
in positive publicity for Rotary clubs.

The Dictionary
for Life project in conjunction with Usborne Publishing
will enable Rotary clubs to buy £9 retail value English
illustrated dictionaries at £2 to donate to Primary
7 children on the cusp of moving into secondary education. The Dictionary
for Life has a user's guide, parts of speech, writing
English hints, English today and a history of our language
and recommended web sites.
