The North-West Life Education Trust
is a community based charity supported by Rotary Clubs throughout
the area. It operates mobile classrooms that give the messages
of healthy living and drug prevention to primary school children.
Each classroom has a specially trained educator. The children learn
how their bodies work, how special and unique they are and develop
the skills and confidence to make positive choices about a healthy
life style. |

now operates FIVE mobile classrooms. They cover the metropolitan
districts of Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, St. Helens, Bolton
and parts of North Cheshire - Warrington and Widnes. The newest
unit will operate in Manchester, Stockport and Trafford and is
being developed in association with Rotary District 1050.
The Wigan Metropolitan Life
Education Trust operates in Wigan.
Between them, the units provide
some 75 thousand children each year with messages of healthy
living and drug prevention.
The Trustees are drawn from many backgrounds and occupations: the majority
of them are Rotarians. |
