THE JACQUI CROMPTON MEMORIAL PLATE RULES |

This award is presented annually to recognise excellence in International
and World Community Service during the Rotary year.
Rules
• Entries must contain sufficient detail to enable judgement on the
criterion shown below.
• It may be a short or long-term project but must have reached a
stage in its development where its past and/or future value is
clearly demonstrated.
• The same project may be submitted in more than one year but can win only
once.
The criteria are:
• A high degree of involvement from International and Foundation Committees.
• The inclusion of an overseas visit.
• Self-reliance and the involvement of an overseas and local partner.
• The replicability of the project: whether other clubs can take it
up
and its suitability as a District project.
• The project addresses the issues of need, poverty and inequality.
• The severity of that need.
• Any technology is cost effective and affordable for the local
community to maintain.
• The possibility of monitoring, evaluation and feed-back to
members.
• Positive change occurs as a result of the project
• Matching and/or helping grants have been considered and applied
for where relevant.
Arrangements
All clubs in the District are eligible
Judging
The winning entry is selected by a panel of Past District Governors
whose decision will be final.
Presentation
The winning club will be announced and the presentation made at
the District Conference. A certificate will also be awarded as
a permanent
Memento and the winning club will be asked to produce a display
board, illustrating the project, at the International Rally and
Project
Fair.
