District Committees

One of the main purposes of Rotary Clubs is to give Service to others, either financially, goods in kind or active hands on support and help. All Rotarians are volunteers, and have a wide number of skills, which along with their colleagues locally and abroad, they use to help others in all sorts of ways. Below you will find links the world of Rotary Service conducted by members of Rotary Clubs in this district.

 

Communications - Public Relations, Magazine, Website, seminar IT etc

Community Service - Working within in our local communities to help children, the elderly, hospices etc

Conference - Organises our annual District Conference

Group Study Exchange - a unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for young business and professional men and women in the early stages of their careers

International Service - Acting as volunteers abroad, motivating and funding projects abroad

Rotaract - Rotaract is an opportunity to..
be part of a fun, dynamic and unique international organisation for people aged 18-30

Rotary Foundation - Rotary's own charity to promote peace and world understanding, by Education and Health programmes throughout the world

Membership Services - Membership Development and the care of our members.

Vocational Service - Rotarians using their personal vocational experience in the service of others

Youth Activities - Hosting young people from other countries. Exchange programmes including educational programmes

Disabled Sports Rotary 1280 runs an annual Disabled Sports event for participants from the area. Our Team has also been National Champions three times
